Hi, I’m Sean Morrell, and I make what I call ‘indie hippie music’. I live in Manchester and was born in Hull, Yorkshire. My upbringing had a huge impact on my music taste - born in 2001, I was raised on noughties, UK indie rock bands such as The Wombats and Arctic Monkeys.

Since moving to Manchester in late 2024, I have played venues such as Stage & Radio, Aatma, 33 Oldham Street and The Cavern with my live band.

Now, I have a debut EP under my belt, released in October 2025. It’s called Intoxicated, and it’s a post-punk indie rock ode to the music that I was raised on. The cover art features myself outside of Hull’s Spiders Nightclub, where I DJ’d for six years and spent many a night out.

My first single of 2026, My Dealer (Loves Me), was my first to use a synth keyboard, and I wanted to carry on the legacy of Manchester bands like Joy Division and New Order with an indie club disco tune.

My second single of the year, Yellow and Blue, adds an acoustic guitar to the musical arrangement. I feel it has a trademark Manchester indie jangle to it, and it makes me feel more connected with the area that I have really settled into.

My third of 2026 and last before my upcoming EP (Tinted Eyes, out 1st July), is called Lights, a song seven years in the making that I've always loved. It's about all the things I wanted to be doing while I was stuck on a hospital bed on a summers day, and I hope listeners can take the feel good vibes into this summer.
